Additional information:

  • Classes are conducted by mgr Wojciech Słupik.
  • Classes are designed for people who know how to ski. During the classes stdents will improve their skiing skills and learn new elements of skiing technique.
  • University does not provide skiing equipment, transportation to the classes, accommodation or meals. The cost of lift tickets is covered by the participants.

Requirements:

  • No health contraindications to participate in physical education classes.
  • Basic skiing skills
  • Have your own equipment: skis, boots, poles, helmet, goggles, appropriate clothing and gloves.

Description:

During the classes, students improve their previously acquired skiing skills, correct mistakes they made, and learn new skiing techniques. Exercises are tailored to the level of skiing skills of students. During the classes, participants acquire knowledge about safety rules on the ski slopes and about the equipment used to practice skiing

The scope of realization of the following issues depends on the level of skiing skills of students.

  • Rules of safety during the classes.
  • Side slides, perfecting edge and balance.
  • Learning and perfecting parallel turns.
  • Learning and perfecting a quick stop - stop turn.
  • Learning and perfecting small radius turns. Practicing edge-skiing and trunk positioning in parallel turns. Practicing in pairs with mutual correction of mistakes after runs. Practicing large and small radius turns. Learning to carve.
  • Elements of freestyle technique. Synchronized turns in twos, threes and fours.
